Waynesboro

Located at the intersection of Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail, Waynesboro is divinely placed among the adventure, whether your tastes run toward biking, hiking and scenic drives, or paddling and fly fishing in the trout-stocked waters of the South River.

 

Downtown is easily walkable, and features the renovated vaudeville-era Wayne Theatre set among shops, art galleries, and restaurants peppered with murals from the annual Virginia Street Arts Festival.

Staunton

The dynamic City of Staunton is located at the crossroads of Interstates 81 and 64 in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. With a population of more than 24,000, Staunton boasts a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere signature of a small town, but also offers one-of-a-kind cultural amenities that you're more likely to find in a larger, metropolitan area.

Staunton was named one of the best small towns in America by Smithsonian magazine, one of the great small towns near D.C. by Washingtonian, and one of America's great main streets by Travel & Leisure.

Augusta County

Augusta county is your perfect  base camp for hiking, hunting, bike riding, fishing, camping, golfing, bird watching and horseback riding - the outdoors are our playground.

In addition to our well-known natural and outdoor attractions, enjoy our local eateries, rolling fields and farms, historic sites and museums, charming small towns, brewery and vineyard trails, and a wide selection of family-owned shops.

Your first stop should be the Grand Caverns, which is only a few miles from the Campground!

Harrisonburg/Rockingham County

Harrisonburg offers beautiful architecture, one-of-a-kind museums, locally crafted beverages and a wide variety of attractions with character.  Whether your entertainment preferences range from tame to extreme, Harrisonburg has attractions to get your heart pumping and delight your senses. One doesn’t have to look far to find both eclectic musicians and nationally known performers at local venues ranging from the JMU Forbes Center for the Performing Arts to The Golden Pony. Enjoy hiking, biking, scenic touring activities in and around Harrisonburg. The area offers numerous cultural excursions in the forms of museums, events, and festivals.

Charlottesville/Albemarle County

Home of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville is a destination for dining, shopping, sports, culture, and history. Charlottesville’s rolling terrain holds numerous vineyards, parks, and historic attractions. Inside the thriving city are many theaters, museums, concert venues, breweries and distilleries.
